Technical Department
Responsible for the planning and coordination of construction projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and according to design.
WHAT THE TECHNICAL TEAM DOES
Where the drawings
become a building.
The technical department manages the practical delivery of each project, from pre-construction through to completion. It is the function that turns a design package into a sequenced, safe, buildable programme, and then holds it there.
Work is coordinated through DSB’s own digital project platform, so instructions, drawings, site reports and approvals sit in one place rather than scattered across inboxes.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Six things the department owns.
Each is a defined remit with a named owner, not a shared assumption.
Drawings & Technical Documentation
Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical documentation before work reaches site.
Site & Subcontractor Coordination
Coordinating site teams and subcontractors so trades follow each other cleanly, not chaotically.
Programme & Sequencing
Maintaining the construction programme and holding the sequence that keeps a project to time.
Health & Safety Compliance
Applying CDM-compliant standards on every site, without compromise or exception.
Quality & Workmanship
Monitoring workmanship against the agreed standard, with inspections at each stage.
Consultant Coordination
Supporting coordination with architects, engineers and consultants throughout delivery.
